Challenge Five: Freestyle (The last Three)
Congratulations to our last three finalists!
This final round is called ‘freestyle’ and it has a clear purpose. You can make any type of video you want. Everything is allowed and everything goes. It is important for you to know that opposite to all the previous round, this one will be judged in a very different way. We think at the end of a competition such as BOIT it is important to review again the path and the entries you submitted along the way. Then, 60% of the grading will be weighted according to your overall performance during the competition, while 40% on your latest entry. Especially in a close neck to neck situation, as it can happen in the last decision of a competition, your latest entry weight particularly, because it can be your final shot to help us decide who is going to win.
There are no guidelines for this round which makes it also hard. After 5 themed rounds where you had to follow some specific guidelines, you are used to have a direction and trying to do your best to follow it, now you are on your own. We cannot possibly tell you what’s best for you; in the previous season some decided to focus on what they were better at, others tried to do something completely different from anything they did previously. It’s your call.
More in specific you can enter anything apart from slideshows (even though some pictures or screenshots are allowed). Any form is allowed (trailer/promo, au/crossover etc), you can focus on anything you want (shows, movies, overviews, couples/character studies, cartoons/anime, multifandom etc). You can use any effect/sound/text you want.
There is really nothing much for us to add except for GOOD LUCK!
Contact us if you have any question.
Important updates will be posted here.
